The newly launched MBHT PhD program, which builds on the legacy of the former CCSN PhD program, offers advanced interdisciplinary training on the nature and evolution of human thought, mind, and behavior. Integrating perspectives from neuroscience, psychology, philosophy of science, and the history of philosophy, the program explores both the biological mechanisms underlying mental processes and the historical and epistemological foundations of human knowledge.

  • Fields of study:
    The PhD program offers two specialization tracks: Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology and Psychophysiology and Human Thought: Philosophy, History, and Science.
  • Career opportunities:
    Graduates pursue careers as researchers and professionals in cognitive science, neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, and academic research.
  • Funding and Benefits:
    Students receive a scholarship and additional funding for research and mobility; accommodation and meals are also offered entirely free of charge, along with access to a wide range of campus facilities for three years.

Who is the ideal candidate for the MBHT program? +
Ideal candidates should have a background in psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, medicine, biology, or the humanities. However, due to the program’s deeply interdisciplinary nature, MBHT also welcomes applicants from fields such as physics, economics, mathematics, engineering, and computer science. A formal English certificate is not required, but a strong command of English is essential as all activities are held in English.
